Do you run an online store on WordPress using WooCommerce? Our new Emailcampaigns.eu plugin lets you connect both solutions easily. This gives you the ability to automatically synchronize contacts and use data about orders and customer shopping behavior directly in your email marketing.
This guide will walk you through the installation of the add-on in WordPress and its basic setup in WooCommerce.
How you can use WooCommerce data in email marketing
Contacts, orders and selected events from your online store do not have to stay only in WooCommerce. In Emailkampane.cz, you can use them for more precise segmentation, more personalized campaigns and automations based on what customers actually do in your store.
You can communicate differently with a customer who abandoned their cart, differently with someone who has just completed an order and differently with a contact who has not returned to your store for a longer period of time. Each group can therefore receive a message that better matches its current situation.
In practice, this data can be used for example for:

- abandoned cart reminders for unfinished purchases,
- post purchase communication with a thank you message or product recommendations,
- repeat purchase campaigns for products that customers buy regularly,
- reactivation campaigns for customers who have not purchased for a longer time,
- segmentation based on order value, purchase history or interest in specific products.

What you need before installing the plugin:
- Access to the WordPress administration with permission to install plugins.
- Active WooCommerce.
- An Emailcampaigns.eu account.
- Account email and API hash from the Emailcampaigns.eu application.
Quick setup:
- Log in to your WordPress administration.
- Upload the plugin installation package in the Plugins section.
- Install and activate the plugin.
- Open the plugin settings in the WooCommerce settings section.
- Fill in the connection details, generate the tracking key and save the changes.
Detailed step by step guide:
Installing the plugin in WordPress
Open the administration of your WordPress website. You can usually find it at an address in this format: yourdomain.com/wp-admin. In the left menu, go to Plugins and click the Add Plugin button.
If you do not see the Plugins item in the left menu after logging in, you probably do not have sufficient permissions. In that case, contact your website administrator.
Downloading and uploading the installation file
Download the plugin installation file. In the WordPress administration, click Upload Plugin, select the downloaded file and confirm the installation.
Once the installation is complete, click Activate Plugin.
Setting up the connection with Emailcampaigns.eu
After activating the plugin, go to WooCommerce and open Settings. In the top menu, find the Emailcampaigns.eu tab.
First, fill in the basic connection details:
- Account email: enter the email address of the account you use in Emailcamapigns.eu.
- API hash: paste the API hash copied from our application. You can find the exact steps for obtaining it in our guide.
Then click Get new tracking key. The key is used to connect data between WooCommerce and the Emailkampane.cz application. Once the key has been generated, save the changes.
Finally, click Verify connection. This checks that the connection has been set up correctly.
Additional plugin settings
After verifying the connection, you can go through the additional settings according to how you want to use the plugin.
On the Contact Groups tab, click Create groups in Emailcampaigns.eu. The plugin will create 4 basic contact groups. These groups allow the plugin to distinguish contacts from orders, registrations, newsletter subscriptions and contacts without consent.
In the Contact Synchronization section, you can set which contacts should be transferred to the application. You can enable synchronization of registered users, order contacts, contact attributes or run a bulk synchronization of existing data.
In the Tracking section, choose whether you want to track carts, orders and customer movement on the website. Tracking only works if you have generated a tracking key.
Optionally, you can add newsletter subscription consent to the checkout process. This allows the customer to subscribe to your newsletter before completing the order.
Once you have finished, click Save changes.

After saving the settings, the plugin is ready to use.
